AlSA public notice

The African Law Students’ Association (ALSA) has issued an important public notice warning against individuals falsely presenting themselves as administrators or representatives of the Association.

According to the Board of Trustees, reports have emerged of certain persons parading themselves as officials of ALSA across the continent. These activities have been formally reported to relevant law enforcement agencies. Members of the public, students, institutions, and partner organizations are strongly advised not to engage, collaborate, or make any payments to such individuals or groups.

ALSA clarifies that the only legitimate administrative authority of the Association resides with its duly recognized Board of Trustees and Advisory Board, as published on its official website, www.alsaonline.org, and in the ALSA Constitution.

The Association further emphasizes that it does not request payments for fictitious certificates or unauthorized items. Any such demand should be treated as fraudulent.

Stakeholders are urged to exercise due diligence and verify all communications directly through ALSA’s official channels to avoid falling victim to scams.
